How to communicate without violence
Share
Nonviolent communication is a method that enables relationships based on empathy, compassion, cooperation and harmonious respect for self and others.
The concept of nonviolent communication (NVC) has been introduced in the late 80s by Marshall B. Rosenberg, PhD in clinical psychology. Influenced by Carl Rogers, whom he was a student of, Rosenberg has developed a method of interpersonal communication that is simple and structured to facilitate relationships and enhance them with empathy.
Avoid elements of violence in your communication:
The first step to communicate without violence is to avoid:
* Label: we classify a person in a category;
* Put Downs: we deny the qualities of another, or reality, attributing causes to the environment or the context;
* Reproach, or worse, insult: we assign to others the responsibility for our annoyance, anger, frustration …
* Merit: we condition action to reward or punishment;
* Comparison: we evaluate ourselves against other;
* Demands: we use verbs such as “have to”, “must” … or we use an accusing and threatening “you”.
.
The 4 Stages Of Nonviolent Communication:
Rosenberg breaks down the process of nonviolent communication in four stages: observation, feelings, needs, requests.
* Observation: “I observe a specific behavior that affects my well-being”
Firstly, observe what really happens in a given situation. What, in the other, contributes to my welfare or on the contrary to my irritation, even my aggressiveness? The key is to understand the situation by way of any order or any assessment.
* Emotion: “I react to this behavior with an emotion, feeling”.
This a phase to question our inner emotional state at the moment. Am I happy, sad, angry, etc.. ?
* Needs: “I identify the needs, desires, values that have awakened this feeling”.
This phase is about discovering the needs behind those feelings.
For example, a person who says “you never understand me,” expresses the fact that his need to be understood is not satisfied. The “non violent” expression of that need could be: “I do not feel sufficiently understood.” Similarly, a woman who delivered a reproach to her husband as a “you come home late every night,” expresses an unmet need for privacy or support.
* Requests: “I ask the other concrete actions that will contribute to my well-being”.
Awareness of these three components (which can be expressed or not) leads to clear and sincere communication. The time of expression is the “requests” stage.
In addition to this process that applies to oneself, MB Rosenberg enriched NVC with another dimension: empathy. It teached us to give time and space in the dialogue that the other needs to express himself and feel understood.
Non-violent communication is often presented as the method to follow the four steps above. But in fact, what is said is far less important than the intent with which it is. Because if the intention is that the other do what we want, it is not nonviolent communication. The intention, in fact, is a very different matter. Our intention is to create with one another a certain quality of energy that will ensure that the needs of both are satisfied and that everything they give to each other will be given willingly. When speaking with this consciousness, then the mechanics of the four steps is very useful. But if one believes one way or another that the other has a hidden purpose behind the use of this method, or possibly they are not as interested in our needs than in theirs, the mechanics will not help and will be useless.

How to deal with jet lag

To help our system to adjust to the local time zone, an efficient way is to help our internal energetic clock to go back on track. That boosts the process, which can take up to 3 weeks for some of us!
How: At least once a day, for 5 minutes, brush energetically (with your palm) or tap (with your lose fist) along the energy meridians. It is not necessary to know their path by heart or exactly. Here is a simple exercise that does it for you:
Arms: Reach your arm out, palm facing the ceiling. Brush/tap the inner side, from the armpit to the palm, and then the outer side, from the hand to the shoulder to the neck. The direction is important, because it follows the direction of the vital energy flow in the meridians. Repeat on the other arm.
Legs: EOpen your legs. Brush/tap the inner side of one leg, from the ankle to the groin, then the outer side of the leg, from the hip to the ankle. Brush the back of the leg, from the buttocks to the heel. The direction is important, because it follows the direction of the vital energy flow in the meridians. Repeat on the other leg.
Feet: Brush the top of the foot, then the sole of the foot. Massage and stretch (and even pull) each toe. Many meridians start or end at the toes. Repeat on the other foot.
Tummy: Gently rub in a circular movement, along the edge of the ribs, the hip bones and the pubis. Then in a smaller circle around the navel. The tummy holds many vital organs, and each vital organ is crossed by a meridian.
Head: Massage/rub the scalp on top of your head, from the forehead to the nape, then on the sides from the temples to the rear of the ears. Many meridians wind on the head.

The Secrets to Manifestation…
Share
Wherever you place your attention to- is where energy goes. Whatever we focus our attention on and think about most often, we attract into our lives. We generate events and circumstances according to our dominant thoughts. Any line of thinking which we believe and on which we constantly dwell takes root in the subconscious and cannot fail to influence us.
We are a walking manifestation of our predominant thoughts. For some this is rather frightening, but once you realise that you are the only person who can think of your thoughts, and that you are in charge of your thoughts, it becomes exciting. You realise that no matter what has gone before, you have the power to move in any direction you choose. From now on, be very careful what you think about!
12 Secrets to Create Miracles and Manifestation:
1. Purify your Thoughts!
· Examine your thoughts, attitudes and behaviour.
· Identify blockages in your flow and calmly release these blockages.
2. Keep Aligned!
· Shift your awareness from your own concerns to the concerns of others.
· Pay attention to what’s going on in the world. If you are consistently conscious of other’s needs, the Universe will be consistently conscious of your needs.
· Consider healing or helping others by sending them light and love. If you help others to prosper, the Universe will help you to prosper.
3. Send your Request!
· Formulate any request mentally, put into words and then into writing. Words which are spoken are only the first condensation of thought. Written words take the condensation to another level of solidity. A great essence to manifestation.
4. Amplify and Illuminate!
· Take an inventory of your existing tools and resources and blessings. Don’t forget to include your talents, your health, your knowledge and your other intangible resources.
· Whatever you focus on expands, so focus on what you have.
5. Constant Giving!
· Become a regular, constant giver. Like attracts like. The feelings of satisfaction and joy that result from true giving attracts objects and experiences that will promote more feelings of satisfaction and joy in your life.
6. Stay Grounded!
· Stay grounded and experience the present moment as much as possible. Fear and Anxiety, which form the great dam that blocks your flow, are by products of an obsession with the future. Whereas Shame and Guilt result from thinking about the past. When you are fully grounded, these obstacles dissolve and the energy of your life begins to flow with great power.
7. Visualize and Claim it!
· If you truly want to be successful then you have to visualize and feel success in your mind and heart. By seeing and believing that success has already happened, you’ll be able to manifest it in your life.
8. Be grateful!
· Bless your resources. All of them. All the time. Be conscious of the gifts that have been entrusted to you. Cultivate a deep sense of appreciation.
· Make frequent positive comments about your health, your friends, your job, your house, your life and everything else you have been given.
· Never speak any negative words about anyone or anything. This can cause great damage.
9. Acting As If!
· Begin now and Start doing! Avoid procrastinating; there is never any other time to begin.
· Expect a miracle, but allow it to unfold in its own time. The more accepting you are about the time frame, the shorter it will be.
· Identify any snags, stumbling blocks or difficult tasks that are holding you back.
10. Be in the Loop!
· Engage in Cycle. As energy begins to flow through your life, pass it on. Keep energy moving- if you receive, pass it on quickly and efficiently.
· Constantly look for ways to send energy back and around the circuit. When you receive, automatically look for a way to give something back.
11. Be Open to Receive!
· The secret of success is big pockets. Be wide open in consciousness. Big pockets are formed by thinking big. Cultivate a consciousness of unlimited potential.
· Believe that anything is possible. Avoid any limited and fearful thinking.
· Eat and be filled! Receive and let the energy and resources that flow into your life fill you with joy, pleasure and gratitude.
12. Create a Wealth Box!
· Create a Wealth Box and place any pictures or symbols of anything you wish to treasure or wish to acquire. Then pop all of the crystals into the wealth box and hide it away.
Crystals:
Citrine- Brings steady flow of wealth and money (can keep a citrine in purse too).
Green jade- Brings long term prosperity.
Pyrite- Helps money flow easily, and get business thriving.
Quartz- Attracts wealthy people into your life.
Diamonds- Ultimate Money-generator

Relax your jaws
Share
Stress, but also braces (which affects adults as well as children!), often leads to tension in the jaws.
Clenching teeth often or for a long time can lead to several physical ailments such as headaches, neck & shoulders stiffness, muscular tension and TMJ.
Here are a few tips to help you relax your jaws.
Tongue to the mouth roof
This tip comes from yoga. Gently bring the tip of your tongue at the highest point of your mouth roof. Your jaws automatically open and relax. Remember it each time you catch yourself clenching your teeth or frowning your eyebrows.
AcuPoint: HOKU
This acupoint is one of the most efficients anti-stress et anti-pain points. Pressing this point, located at the junction of the thumb and forefinger bones, helps relieving many discomforts - insomina, headache, constipation, neck & shoulders tension- which are often a consequence or the cause of jaws tension.
Evening exercise
If you often wake up with pain in the jaws or teeth, try this simple exercise before going to bed. Sit straight, relax your shoulders and arms, and breathe deeply. Gently press the palms of your hands on each side of your head, at the jaws level. Clench your teeth to feel the muscle flex. Relax your jaws (see the above exercise with the tip of the tongue), and firmly hold your palms on your jaws, while taking 5 deep breaths. Relax your hands and shoulders, and take 5 other deep breaths. Repeat the whole exercise twice.
(In case of recurring insomnia, please visit your doctor).

A drastic exercice to relax your neck
Share
Your neck is stiff, your muscles tensed, and you do not have enough time for a massage. This radical tip will help you relax the big ropy muscles behind your neck.
On the floor, pile up a few hard cover books (dictionary, encyclopedia…). Lay down on your back, your nape right on the top edge of the books pile. The pile has to be high enough so that your nape truly rests on the edge. You should feel the full weight of your head on your muscles, not on the skull.
Completely relax your head. Its weight crunches the nape muscles.
Very slowly, turn your head to the right, and then to the left, and again, during a few minutes. You must feel the edge of the books pressing on your neck muscles.
Then stay still for a 1 mn. Close your eyes. Wait until the pain fades off.
Stand up slowly, because as soon as you carry our head back up, blood suddenly flows in.
Feel the difference: your neck feels lighter, and you feel much taller!
Repeat this exercise once a day.
